Weed Update:

We are starting to see more and more weeds in the fields.  The dry weather the last couple of weeks did not get many of the residual products activated and another flush of waterhemp continues to push up from the soil.  Options are limited at this point.  Dicamba and Liberty applications are off-label when we see flowers, Enlist is through R2 which is over in some fields already, products like cobra will burn off flowers.  Spot spraying to clean up small areas may be necessary and any potential yield loss from herbicide application will be a lot less than weed pressure in those areas for years to come, but just make sure you are only spraying what needs to be sprayed.
